Home of Good Design
This project, which was featured in the article ‘Homes of Good Design’ in the May 2020 issue of AtHome Upstate Magazine, is a fascinating project where the genius of an artist and an architect who were both renowned in their fields and also good friends brought their work together under one roof. This beautiful midcentury home was designed by architect James Neal for his friend and fine artist, Carl Blair. Blair’s daughter and husband now live in the home and have remodeled it to suit their taste while taking care to showcase his legacy of abstract paintings and whimsical sculptures.
Thrive partnered with local artist and colleague Lewis Carl to style and stage this home with the goal of integrating Blair artwork with the current resident’s belongings.
