Fishing Cabin to Lakeside Cottage
This lakefront vacation home orginated as a cozy and slightly awkward fishing cabin with so much potential! While the finishes were worn and out-dated, the layout afforded wonderful opportunity to maximize design appeal fitting for summer weekend retreats. The home features 4 gable roof lines that all meet at a central peak in the center of the living area. This became the perfect way to add character to the open concept, so we created a faceted shiplap treatment to unify this unique architectural feature. Traditional lines, brightened finishes, and furnishings selected to layer ample texture and invite relaxation resulted in a charming destination where guests will feel right at home.
