One of the primary goals driving this renovation was opening the floor plan to enhance the ability of the homeowners to age-in-place. With concerns for future mobility, the client requested an ADA roll-in shower and the removal of the water closet in favor of a more open plan. Opening walls and expanding the shower also helped meet a secondary goal to increase the natural light in what was originally a fairly dark space. Timeless finishes including a gorgeous marble, champagne bronze fixtures, and traditional lighting ensure that the focal point of the space is its elegance and beauty rather than functionally compliant. The design team worked to address every functional detail while also capturing a classic interior style that blends seamlessly with the original design of this beautiful southern home.
